SO. My birthday's comin up and my parents agreed to help me buy a new fancy tablet for the occasion. No idea what I should be looking for, although I know that I'm going to treat myself to another Wacom. Could you guys help? Any information/insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks friends!

Good for you, Aly.

Erm, why not look into Wacom Intuos, since it's marketed towards professional graphic artists. I use a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet considering I'm not aiming to go BIG SHOT.

As for size, I recommend either Large or Medium. Hopefully your table has enough space for it.

I know how amazing your art is, so if you're wanting for very good quality, do get a Wacom Intuos.. they have Intuos 4 now, I own Intuos 3 and it's very good, so from my own experience, that's what I HIGHLY recommend! Well, whatever it'll be, make it intuos! O:
Others do enjoy Bamboo and such, but it isn't tilt-sensitive like intuos, and I don't think graphire is either, but what I do know is that graphire has less pressure levels than intuos, maybe 4 has more than 3 I'm sure, but 4 looks funny though. xD;; Maybe I'm just being biased now, but get the newer model I'm sure it's better than 3 anyway. xD;; I trust Wacom'll do good for that.
But yeah, if you want good professional with a lot of pressure levels and tilt sensitivity! They also have a new one.. uh.. Cintiq I think it's called? I think it has twice as much pressure levels as intuos (which is 4 times as much as graphire), and I might be wrong but I think it's a PC Tablet, I think it's like stupid expensive too. xD;;
But yeah, I recommend a Wacom Intuos tablet. The size for mine is 9x12, horrible for travel (but that's okay I never traveled with it anywhere) but since it's really big and almost paper size, there's little time needed for adjustment and it's better to get that size than the really long widescreen because you'll lose more space, and this type can adjust or you don't have to adjust. I don't adjust and my pc's a widescreen (not super wide but still) and after like 30 minutes of getting used to, it feels VERY natural! <3

I agree with ~Raikita, I have the same tablet as her (Intuos 3, 9x12) AND ITS THE BEST TABLET EVER. I travel with it A LOT and the size has never been a problem. I would personally pay a little extra to get a 9x12 as opposed to something smaller because it fits really well on desk spaces (at least for me, it depends on how much space you have) and it's just really comfortable and the perfect size. And just overall, it's so sleek and reliable and I've had it for..5 years? and never had a problem with it at all. SO YES. My input 8)

If I miss it, happy early birthday!! c8 :heart:

My dad and I are looking/bidding on eBay for an Intuos 4 right now (:, and I think I'm gonna go with the medium sized tablet. Pretty sure thats the size of my old dumpy Wacom, and I was perfectly comfortable drawing with it. Thanks again for your helpful imput! I can't wait to start drawing again, it's been far too long!<3
